Ms. Whitehead earned a BA in English Literature and Journalism from Ewha Woman’s University and completed graduate studies in Instructional Media at California State University – Northridge.. He leads the Company’s development of online learning platforms and content. His current areas of research include the design and scalability of collaborative, distributed teaching environments on the Internet, and the use of visual representation to teach complex concepts using interactive multimedia technologies. His research findings are applied to continually advance C4E’s cutting-edge platform and tools. Prior to C4E and after graduating in Piano Performance from the Royal College of Music in London, he achieved recognition as an award-winning classical pianist touring Europe, the US, and Latin America. After earning a PhD in Education, he taught at the National Pedagogic University and Los Andes University, in Bogotá, Colombia, the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and as Assistant Professor of Music Technology and Director of Online Education at California State University, Northridge. Mr. Maldonado earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Colegio Anglo Colombiano, an ARCM in Piano and Orchestral Conducting from the Royal College of Music, a Master’s Degree in Music – Piano Performance from Boston University, and a PhD in Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
